Privacy policy

coldnest is a tool for running your own Instagram outreach campaigns: a web dashboard plus a Chrome extension that acts inside your own logged-in browser. This policy explains what data we handle and why.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and login credentials (managed by our auth provider; passwords are hashed, never stored by us in plain text).
• Campaign data you create: campaigns, message templates, lead lists (Instagram usernames you import or collect), and send/reply logs.
• Public prospect data:when AI personalization is on, the extension reads a prospect's public bio and recent captions to write a relevant opener.
• Billing references: the plan or credit pack you request and a payment reference. We do not collect or store card or wallet numbers.

Your Instagram session

The extension uses the Instagram session already present in your own browser to send messages and collect leads on your behalf. It reads the Instagram session cookie only to check that you are logged in. We never ask for, see, or store your Instagram password, and we do not export your Instagram cookies off your machine.

How we use data

To run your campaigns, generate personalized openers, show you analytics (sends, replies, reply rate), enforce plan limits, and process the payments you initiate. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers that run coldnest: Supabase (database, authentication, hosting of your campaign data), Groq (AI text generation for personalized openers; it receives the prospect bio/captions and your instructions), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (web hosting). Each processes data only to provide its service.

Browser permissions

The extension requests: cookies (to detect your Instagram login), tabs and host access to instagram.com (to open profiles and send/collect on your behalf), storage (to cache your session and settings locally), and alarms (to pace sending safely over time). It talks only to Instagram and to the coldnest backend.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your campaigns, leads, and logs. Some records may be retained briefly where required for legitimate business or legal reasons.
